At the end of 2010, as a symbol of the culture of peace in favor of young people, the Sluice of Casalecchio has been included in the list of "UNESCO 2000-2010 heritage messengers programme". The itinerary proposed here allows the visitor to explore the area surrounding the Sluice of Casalecchio which is located within the Natura 2000 site known as "Boschi di San Luca e Destra Reno (IT4050029 ZSC - ZPS)".
