The family winery Šijački is situated on the banks of the Danube River in the village of Banoštor in Srem, approximately 25km from the city of Novi Sad and 95km from Belgrade. The wine is produced mostly from own plantations stretching across 11ha on the northern slopes of the Fruška Gora Mountain. The wine cellar adjacent to the Danube River has the projected capacity of 100,000 liters of wine, and has separate capacities for production of white and red wines in controlled conditions, and an underground cellar for aging of red wines. Approximately 70% of production consists of variety white and rosé wines bearing the following labels: Italian Riesling, Rhein Riesling, Chardonnay and Neoplanta, and rosé Muskat Hamburg and Cabernet Sauvignon rosé commercially labeled Ivana Šijački. Red wines Blau Frankische, Merlot and Seduša, make approximately 30% of production. A special treat of the winery is the wine made of the old and forgotten variety Seduša, which was multiplied for over a decade from own shoots, in order to yield the first commercial wine only in 2016. The winery is recognizable for its wine labels representing the Šijački family, i.e. their photographs and signatures, which is how one can get acquainted with four generations of winemakers in this family.
