Erdevik Winery is located in the village of Erdevik on the western slopes of Fruška Gora. The part of Srem at the foothill of Fruška Gora is one of the most favourable wine- growing regions. The first grapevines were planted in 276 A.D. by Emperor Probus. In the early 19th century the village of Erdevik had a number of vineyards so count Livio Odescalchi built the first wine cellar in 1826 on the foundations of which the present winery was built. Today the winery is a harmonic synergy of rich and authentic history, traditional and modern. The premium quality wines are produced exclusively from the estate owned vineyards located on the right bank of the Danube. Erdevik Estate Gastro Chalet was built as a part of the winery to receive wine-loving visitors. The visitors can taste the food prepared using groceries from the local producers according to the approach “fresh food from farm to table” and premium quality wines with the protected geographical indication of Erdevik Winery.
